In 2020 transports went down significantly. This downward trend began as information on COVID-19 became available to the public. Courts and jails reduced prisoner transports in an effort to decrease the spread of the virus. Prisoners began to be seen by other means, such as video conferencing, impacting transport numbers significantly.
