The SOAR program at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections is a comprehensive evidenced treatment program for males and females suffering from substance use disorders. The SOAR program offers evidenced based treatment curricula that are designed and implemented on national models. The program has two primary components to include 60 days of intensive treatment at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections. Once the 60 Day in house program is complete an individual will be released to community corrections for ongoing phased after care for 52 weeks.

The SOAR program also has alternative progressive programming to assist individuals establish positive coping skills to apply to their early recovery.
