- Activities which have entrance fees, spending money for various bus trips, shopping, restaurants, etc. Recreation will notify, in advance, of costs which may be associated with the activity.
- Balances of MCNH Physician services uncovered by Medicare and other supplemental insurances - this item applicable to self-pay residents only
- Balances of Therapy Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy) uncovered by Medicare and other supplemental services
- Long distance calls made from Nurses’ Station and/or portable phones
- Newspaper/magazine subscriptions
- Cigarettes, tobacco, other smoking-related materials

Pharmacy - Effective January 1, 2006, Medicare will be providing new prescription drug insurance, known as “Medicare Part D”. Nursing home residents and/or their responsible parties will need to enroll in a Medicare prescription drug plan, known as a “Part D plan”, to receive this new benefit.
Self-pay residents are responsible for prescription and over the counter items.
